Have you ever considered deleting your Facebook account? You probably don’t want to risk your and your wife’s privacy when you post. Or maybe you want something earlier in your life and want to spend less time online.
Whatever your reason for leaving Facebook, you should know that deleting your account is a relatively easy task. There are two ways to get out - one is changeable if you change your mind and the other is permanent, for people who are sure they want to resign.

Delete your Facebook Account
Deleting your Facebook account is the only option for those who are convinced that they will never return to Facebook and if they change their mind don't think of the idea of starting from scratch.
When you delete your account, Facebook will delete it permanently. Facebook said the removal process usually takes a month, although "some data backups and logs can last up to 90 days."
To delete your account, go to https://www.facebook.com/deactivate_delete_account on your computer and select "Delete Account".
On your phone, go to the Facebook app and then
1. Tap the triple bar in the lower right corner
2. Scroll down to "Settings & Privacy" and tap the downward caret.
Select "Settings."
3. Scroll down to the "Your Facebook Information" section and select "Account Ownership and Control."
